Daily Activity #6 - February 21st 2018

      Hello Everyone , Back at my blog again , this is another blog that tells you about my activities for this whole day. Without many talk and introduction, Lets Begin. Today's activities started at morning. I went from home to campus at 7.20 am and arrived at around 7.50 am. When i was arrived , my friend already one lined in front of the kitchen and i almost late. I took out my apron and wore them. By the time i finished, i heard my name called by the senior incharge ,so i went there and do an equipment and grooming inspection, and then went straight to the locker room to put my bag and my stuff and went to the cold kitchen.
   
     In the cold kitchen, i one lined and then after around 8.10 am, Mr.Syahrial came in to explained to us about today's menu, which is Rotation Menu 1.2 that contains Macedoine Vegetables with Mayonnaise, Minestrone Soup, Fillet of fish meuniere, and choux ala creme, after he told us to start preparing our menu, i took out the fish that i've already marinated yesterday from the chiller, and went to the butcher section to cut the portion size, every portion is 100gr and were cut in Supreme Cut.

     After i'm done with the cutting, i prepared the next step where i clarified butter and poured it on a frying pan, drenched the fish in flour, and then frying them for 1-2 minutes, because we're frying with flours, the pan must changed every use , so imagine this. I prepared 40 slices of fish, it means that i had to change and wash pans for 20 times, but the results is pretty good, the fish looked clean and appetizing. After done with the fish, i prepared the plates that will be used for the restaurant service. We plated the fish, garnished it, and then serving them when the order is called, and i'm also a barker where my job is to call for the order and counted the food that came out of the windows.      It was 3 pm, where the senior told us to take a break. and after the breaktime is over, the senior told us to do one line again to gave us our task for the general cleaning. I got the Cold Kitchen Section, and we finished at around 5.20 pm, the day was closed by Mr.Jaya, and did a little explanation to us and told us to go home and rest. So that was my day, it's a pretty wonderful but tiring day. I learned a lot from prepared today's menu and became a barker.
